The kaluga sturgeon lives only in fresh and semi-salt waters and weighs up to 2200 lbs. The Kaluga used to inhabit the Amur River up to the middle section of the Zeya River. But now, the numbers have dwindled to the point that it only survives at the Amur headwaters.
